July 21, 2002 - Garage Crawl

Considering the fact that the heat index was hovering around 110 degrees, we had a nice turnout at Leo Goff's Memphis Motorwerks for the Garage Crawl. The Hofers drove their Healey, Thom Perhac and his son were in their XKE, as was Walt Fisher - and there was the usual gaggle of MGBs (belonging to Shawn Rodel, Joe Reed, Larry Kiehna). Plus, this event was the first for Robin & Lisa Balton's beautifully restored '74 MGB! A number of other club members (apparently the smarter ones) arrived in the air conditioned comfort of their daily drivers instead of their British cars.

Thanks to Leo for having us out to his garage. With all the exotic cars, motorcycles and bits and pieces, it was almost like a trip to a museum!

The Balton's provided the surprise of the day by arriving in their "new" '74 MGB...

Bikes, bikes and more bikes...

One you've never seen - a rare BMW factory racer...

On the rack above the BMW- a race prepared Porsche 911...

Among the exotic bits & pieces you'll find this D-Tyle Jag engine...

Bikes are a specialty - like this antique Moto Guzzi...

We should all have a garage this size!...

No matter how hot it is, the boys just have to play with their toys...
