In about 1979
several Austin Healey enthusiasts got together to form the Austin Healey
Club of Memphis. Before long, they realized the limitations of a club
devoted to a single, relatively low production marque and made the
decision to welcome all British marques into the fold...and changed the
name to the British Sports Car Club in 1980. The
British Sports Car Club, LTD. thus was "born" in its present form as an organization
devoted to the preservation, restoration and enjoyment of British cars. It was
made "official" on August 6, 1982 by the filing of its Charter and
Certificate of Organization with the Secretary of State. The BSCC is the local Memphis chapter of the North
American MGB Register and the regional chapter
of the North American MGA Register. Our
archives pages give you a look at
the variety of club events that have been enjoyed by our members over
the years.
How
to join...
Probably the best way, and the most fun, is to
simply show up at one of our regularly scheduled monthly
meetings. This gives you a chance meet a bunch of members, see a handful of
really cool cars, and enjoy an informative and entertaining presentation. If you decide to join us on a permanent basis, membership
applications will be available, or.. you can click
here to download a
Membership Application (pdf format). If you prefer, we'll be
happy to mail you a membership application - just email
us your name and address.
Annual dues are only $30.00 - including a personalized BSCC name badge for new
members. You do not have to own a British car (running or otherwise) to be a
member.
