| Jim
& Sharon Duke put together an interesting and challenging rallye
that began in Oakland, took us through some of the more interesting roads
in Fayette and Haywood counties, and deposited the survivors at Buzz
Merchlewitz's home near Somervillle. There, we were treated to oversized
burgers served on Jim's own homemade oversized buns! Plus, for most of
us, it was our first opportunity to tour Buzz's own garage-mahal!
We had a very nice turnout for the event and everyone enjoyed a wonderful drive on a surprisingly nice early Summer day. Those of you who stayed home because you thought it would be too hot made a big mistake! The event was won my Gordon and Tammy Gold, with Charles and Mary Anne Coleman placing second, and Joe and Angie Reed trailing in third. There were no losers in the event...thanks for all your work, Jim! And thanks also to Buzz for your hospitality! |
